Rob Andrews, Rough Guides author and contributor will talk on Sicily. He will be talking about the Messina Earthquake of 1908 and his Anglo-Sicilian family and also on the Southeast Sicily earthquake of 1693, and lastly touching on the bombing of Messina in WW2, though the latter almost tangentially (insofar as the war impacted on the fortunes of his family).
On 12th March David Bruce spoke on Anglo-Italians settled in Italy before 1914 with a large Italian Cake from Lavenders, Coldharbour Lane, Bristol. Slides from the presentation are linked here
